Good morning! My name is Kathy Swain. I believe you've been talking with my husband about bringing a new member into our family. I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do for your dogs. You can tell by Facebook, your website, and emails that you truly love and care for your dogs. Six months ago our middle son Gabriel lost his dog of 14 years. From the moment he was brought home from the hospital Sophie never left his side. She would do everything with Gabe plus she slept with him every night. When the time came for us to put her down Gabriel was with her and refused to leave her side. He said that she was his dog and he was going to be with her to the end so that she knew he loved her and she wasn't alone. Although when she was gone a little part of my son went with her. You can never understand how important a pet is in someone's life until they're gone. A light has been brought back into his eyes with the new addition to our family. Everyday he checks Facebook and the website for updates and pictures. He and Steve pour over websites trying to find the best collars, bowls, beds, food, toys etc.... He and Steve talk about the best puppy training methods and who's going to pick up his poop :) I just wanted you to know a little about what kind of home your boy will be going to. He will be loved fiercely by our family but will hold a special place for our son who needs a dog to love. Thank you again for all you do for your dogs. We are counting down the days until we can meet you all in person and bring our boy home. Blessings, Kathy

I just wanted to take some time and tell you about Levi, I want you to tell that we know how special he is. So here is where I start. If you remember my son Nick, he was the big fella that came with me to get Levi. Well three weeks before we came he was in the hospital for 4 days and was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Needless to say we were devastated. He is on an aggressive treatment for it, but has still having some difficulty. He has been able to continue to work. He works for Rolling Meadows Public works in Illinois. He is works the forestry crew and cuts trees, he has been doing ok with that. We worry about him all the time, but not much we can do except hope for the best. Then I got sick which did not help. I am better now. I don’t like that he is 3 ½ hours away from us, but they have better treatment facilities than we do here and his wife and her family is there for him. So needless to say we have had a rough year. The reason I am telling you all this is to put Levi into perspective. Quigley is absolutely great, he gets better all the time. He and Levi are getting along well. Quigley loves him so much and want to be right beside him constantly, Levi is very patient with him. With all the worry about Nick, there are times when I have been pretty low and depressed, but I get home from work and Levi, greets me, sometimes talking, he is so loveable, we pet and hug him all the time. He makes us so happy and I sure think he is happy. We rub and talk to him and he never seems to get tired of it. I love it when he kind of snuggles up and gets closer. He seems to like hugs, “he gets a lot of those” What I am trying to say is he has had such a large impact on us and makes our lives better and happier. When he comes running to me outside I just love it. I would have never believed that he could move so fast. Beth summed it all up the other day on how well he has adjusted, she said “even though it has really been a short time it is like he has always been here”. It is so true he is just a very wonderful part of our family. I just wanted you to know how good it has been for us to have him. I am not real religious, but I do believe some things are meant to be and I believe being with Levi is one of those things. My words fall short trying to describe how important Levi is to us, but I wanted to try and convey it to you and thank you for letting him be a part of our lives.

I want to continue thanking you for my Elsa. What a joy she has been. The best advice you gave me was the three cup rule. She only needs three cups of food per day. She has maintained her weight holding at 114 since her 1 year old check-up. She could and would eat 10 cups per day if we let her. She is food driven. What a silly character. She was the perfect dog for me and I was the perfect mom for her. She is the joy of my life and I'm her joy. Match made by Deb. Great decision. 💕. I hope this note finds you in a great place in your life as well.

Update on puppy - Deb, I have to tell you, you must have showed my Tiberius a lot of love when he was a pup, because he constantly has to be loved almost to the point he gets irritable. As for the food Tiberius get the same allowance. He loves the snow and cold. He doesn’t like it when he is only allowed to be out for 15-20 minutes when it gets really cold.. wish he understood he has web feet . I think he is keeping my 9 year old Beagle young, the /Beagle will run him and cut hard and poor old Tiberius looses traction and tumbles.. I am blessed that Maxximus (the Beagle) has excepted the fact he isn't Leonidas ( our Blood Hound that passed) and has excepted him, They have become very tight! You and your Husband are truly great breeders it shows with Tiberius’s demeanor. Don’t get me wrong I enjoyed the 2 Blood Hounds I received from Kate but I am not sure if showed them the love that you showed mine. In closing you will not believe this... he loves his nails and ears done.

Hi! We have a beautiful female bloodhound. Her name is Penny Lane and she was born December 17th. We would like to breed her. Do you do that?

I would like to begin by saying WOW!! Even though this will be my 5th AKC registered Dog you have made my life so much easier! It is the little things that add up. I have never-ever met a breeder that did all the leg work. The old saying goes you get what you pay for. Deb you have made the purchase of Tiberius (Bubba)a very easy purchasing experience and you should be commended for it. I know this is what you do, but the amount of time that goes into these pups and everything behind the scenes is a lot of work and more than a full time job. I truly don’t know how you do it, I will only have 1 Bloodhound to deal with you have numerous ones ( that I am sure can be frustrating at times) Deborah please let me know if any of the 1st time buyers from this litter call you and say I thought this breed would be laid back, calm, relaxed and why are they such a slob! (You warned them) I sure could use a chuckle. I have to be honest these days have been dragging waiting on my new member to my family. You have made it perfectly clear they are your pups, with that passion It would only be fair to keep you in the loop on his advancements. Words can not describe the happiness that you have put back in my heart, Tiberius will be loved and well cared for; you have my word on it! It has been awhile since I heard my wife say “You Love That Bloodhound More Than Me”Smile

Duke really enjoyed his bath the other day after the pee got all over the poor guy. I filled our master tub a little bit with warm water, got completely inside with him so I could hug him and talk to him and make him feel as safe as possible, and used the baby shower head which is nice and gentle and quiet and he really seemed to enjoy all the rubbing. After, Chloe ran downstairs to get the 3 large towels fresh and warm from the drier, we dried him up, gave him a treat, and I sat there and rubbed each of his paws and little toes and nails gently for a few minutes so that he will get used to it and associate that regular nail trimming will be part of the ritual, as needed and once they start to grow, for now they are perfect! I also put an empty small plastic water bottle as a toy while he was in the tub and he loved watching it bob up and down and make noise, lol! I came out soaking wet, lol! But loved every second of it! I haven't been able to stop smiling from ear to ear since the second I met him Debi! Just love him so much! 😊

Dakota (lime ribbon)did amazing on the drive home. We got in about 1am and she meet our other dogs and they all wanted to play like they had know each other all the time. She is loving all the new smells and slept really good last night. Gage (my youngest son) said he was going to use her to help him hunt Easter eggs today lol. Thank you so much for helping us with her and we will be sending pictures and posting lots on Facebook as well. Happy Easter, Joshua Diamond

We recently got a puppy out of Madison's first litter, and let me just say she is the best dog ever! She is SO sweet and well tempered, and even seems to know some of her commands! If you are looking for a bloodhound, look no further because this is the best place to get one!!! We could tell Leila came to us well loved and raised. She adapted to our house and other dogs so quickly! I can't express enough how much we all love her- she stole our hearts!!!

Hello Debi! I just thought you should know that Faith successfully completed an AMAZING year old trail today. The subject was located in a parking lot inside her vehicle at the end of a heavily forested, and highly contaminated (hikers, horses, bicycles, K9's, and countless wild animals, etc). The subject stayed completely silent while Faith approached for an active (paws up on car door) identification. The subject then exited the vehicle and Faith finished her ID with a passive(sit) at the feet of her subject. Such a textbook trail. I can never thank you enough for being so knowledgeable about the breed and taking the time to really watch your pups and potential owners to make sure a perfect dog/owner match is made. Thank you so much for my amazing girl. I'm going to glow for days. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Much appreciation, Willow, Faith's Dope behind the Rope
