Females tend to be alittle more independent than the males. Usually the females come to you for attention and will move away when she has had enough. We notice that they mature around the age of 2, where the guys take longer (same with humans)! They are usually “less” distracted while training; she is wanting to get it over with and retreat back to her comfy spot on the couch. She will be less likely to show dominance with you, but know that she can be resourceful in getting her way. She will have periods of being “in heat” unless she is spayed. Seasonal heats can be a nightmare for you and the neighborhood males with these lasting up to a month’s time, leaving a bloody discharge everywhere she goes, moodiness, and a scent for those males. If you aren’t breeding, get her spayed!
